Cal Poly has a student shuttle that goes around the large campus helping students reach their destinations. The difficulty is that the only way to navigate the shuttle map and schedule is through a dated website. This app was designed as a means of creating a more enjoyable and accessible interface for this helpful resource.
The goal was to create an app that would simplify and streamline shuttle usage, by creating a app to cover basic needs when using a shuttle. The app allows students to see the current shuttle schedule, to plan and save routes they want to take, in addition to receiving notification of any shuttle updates.
A wireframe was created to design the app pages and flow for the interactive prototype. After that, app pages were designed and the animations were put into place. Once finished a class of students tested the app to check its accessibility and effectiveness. To view the prototype click here.
