The Goose Girl

The illustration for this poster is based on the Grimm brother's fairy tale, "The Goose Girl." The poster was created as a proposal for a Pasadena Playhouse production of this story. The image embodies the style of the Grimm tales and adds a theatrical twist with the font choice. With the QR code located at the bottom, the poster can advertise the show and provide the viewer with the information to purchase their tickets.

The style used for the piece was a hand-made stamp. The process began with multiple sketches which were developed until they created the ideal portrayal of story details. These components were then divided into stamps that could fit together and form the finished piece. Each stamp was inked and meticulously placed onto a prepared piece of paper.
